An ode to earth

An ode to earth

Mother Earth is my greatest teacher. Nature inspires me every day to be present, to create, to surrender and let go of ideals of perfection. She glorifies the simplicities and the beauty in subtle moments, the balance between strength and delicacy; a reminder of how real and natural it is to witness and be a part of life, death and rebirth.

The beauty is in the insignificant aspects of reality; the parts that often, we barley notice while we are busy with all of the things that ultimately don’t matter - running the race to survive. Sometimes through doing so, forgetting just to be.

I find presence and peace in the subtle moments when I see shapes casted by the shadows, the reflection of the sun sparkling on the water, the way the light hits the mountains and changes their colour as time passes. Feeling the fresh air brushing my cheeks, watching the sun play hide and seek through the canopy as I walk, listening to the symphony of the natural world.

These are the moments that inspire me to create… awareness and appreciation for these subtle but profound moments… a simplified but deeply gratifying perception of the world.
